DAYTON, OH — On Friday, February 9, at 1:00 PM ET, Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley and Dayton Board of Education Member Mohamed Al-Hamdani will join Ohio Matters Senior Project Director Wendy Patton, and Businesses for Responsible Tax Reform Chair Anne Zimmerman for a town hall on the TrumpTax’s disastrous effects on Ohio working families. The town hall is the latest event on a nationwide tour to shine a light on tax breaks for millionaires, billionaires, and wealthy corporations at the expense of working families.

The Tax Policy Center found that 92 million middle income families across America will pay more in taxes, while the richest 0.1 percent will get a nearly $150,000 tax break with the TrumpTax. Millions will see a 10 percent increase in health insurance premiums and our commitment to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will be undermined.

After Friday’s town hall, the 100-day tour will continue hosting events around the country, featuring senators, congressional representatives, local elected officials, and people affected by the law. The tour will next travel to Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Friday’s event is free and open to the public.
