WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following the New York Times’ bombshell investigative reporting into Donald Trump’s efforts to reap millions through “dubious tax schemes,” Tax March Executive Director Maura Quint released the following statement:

“Donald Trump is not a self-made man—his business is swindling, cheating, and lying. Now, we have further confirmation that he is an outright fraud.

“Throughout his presidency, Trump has rigged the system against workers, middle-class families, and people of color to solely benefit the rich and powerful like him. His actions in office are an outgrowth of his history as an entitled cheater who plays by different rules than the rest of us.

“This story proves that there is a mountain of information yet to be uncovered about Donald Trump’s compromising financial interests that are deeply relevant to the American people.

“Donald Trump must release his tax returns. Now. And if he refuses, Congress must obtain and release them.”
