LOUISVILLE, KY— On Saturday, February 3, at 1:00 PM ET, Congressman John Yarmuth (D-KY) will join National Women’s Law Center Vice President for Income Security Anna Chu and Sarah Zeller, campaign coordinator for the Kentucky Center for Economic Policy for a town hall on the TrumpTax’s disastrous effects on Kentucky working families. The town hall is the latest event on a nationwide tour to shine a light on tax breaks for millionaires, billionaires and wealthy corporations at the expense of working families.

The Tax Policy Center found that 86 million middle income families across America will pay more in taxes, while the richest 0.1 percent will get a nearly $150,000 tax break with the TrumpTax. Millions will see a 10 percent increase in health insurance premiums and our commitment to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security will be undermined.

After Saturday’s town hall, the 100-day tour will continue hosting events around the country, featuring senators, congressional representatives, local elected officials, and people affected by the law. The tour will next travel to Ohio, Indiana, and Colorado.

Saturday’s event is free and open to the public.
