Not One Penny Statement on Tax Policy Center Analysis of GOP Tax Plan

Washington D.C. — Today, following the release of the nonpartisan Tax Policy Center’s analysis of the Republican tax plan, Tax March Executive Director Nicole Gill released the following statement:

“Republicans have written a check to millionaires and billionaires that working families will have to pay for. The Trump tax plan will rob Medicare and Medicaid while raising taxes on the majority of the country, all to fund tax cuts for the wealthy and well-connected. By 2027, a stunning 83 percent of the benefits of this so-called cut will flow to the top 1 percent, while over half of all Americans – or 100 million families – will pay more. If you’re struggling to make ends meet, this plan hurts you. If you’re a parent, this plan hurts you. This isn’t a tax plan, it’s an armed heist of the hard-earned dollars of middle-class families.”
