WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV – In advance of the congressional Republican retreat at the exclusive Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, ‘Not One Penny’ has erected five billboards along I-64 highlighting the TrumpTax’s disastrous effects on West Virginia families.
The five billboards remind the Members that their tax plan will take health coverage from 69,000 West Virginians and raise taxes on 1 in 4 Mountain State families. They range in size from 12 x 50 to 12′ 6 x 22′ 9 and will greet congressional Republicans as they enter the White Sulphur Springs area.
“As Congressional Republicans enjoy their hot stone massages, thousands of West Virginia families will be bracing for a tax hike under the TrumpTax plan,” said ‘Not One Penny’ Spokesperson Robyn Patterson. “No matter how many mineral spa baths they take this weekend, Republicans will never be washed clean of their votes to take health care from 69,000 West Virginia families to fund tax cuts for millionaires, billionaires, and wealthy corporations.”
The designs featured on the billboards are as follows:
I-64 @ HOWARD’S CREEK F/E – LOC. #3
Location: I-64 @ HOWARD’S CREEK F/E HI – LOC. #2
Location: I-64 E/O EXIT 169 @ CALDWELL F/W LO
Location: I-64 .3 MI E/O EXIT 181 F/E
The Tax Policy Center found that 92 million middle-income families across America will pay more in taxes, while the richest 0.1 percent will get a nearly $150,000 tax break with the TrumpTax. Millions will also see a 10 percent increase in health insurance premiums while seniors will pay more from forced cuts to Medicare.
